Introducing Laurel Armstrong

The science portal is maintained by Laurel Armstrong and aims to include interesting and exciting resources for biology, chemistry and physics specialists as well as teachers of science at both primary and secondary levels.

Laurel is a freelance educator, qualified science teacher and science workshop leader delivering science workshops to learners aged 5-19 across the UK. She also presents science activities at family days, delivers CPD to trainee primary teachers and can occasionally be found making balloon powered buggies (or similar) at national science events.

Our library of top tips continues to grow, as does our bank of video guides. demonstrating how ICT resources can be used in the science classroom. The science portal also features the fantastic free learning materials on Open Learn, and highlights useful recent news stories and blog posts.
