Introduction
In this unit of the Diploma, learners will explore the potential of technology in a business context. This course, which focuses on how technology is used as part of the John Lewis retail lifecycle, demonstrates how to use the e-skills resources to deliver the unit.
Outline
The course will cover:
• accessing and using the e-skills resources for this unit
• how the retail industry – including work placements – can support delivery of the Diploma
• setting and assessing learner activities.
Outcomes
After completing the course, you’ll know how to:
• embed resources into a delivery plan for the unit
• accurately assess learners’ performance
• identify opportunities to work with local retailers to help improve learners’ understanding of how technology supports business.
