Introduction

In this unit of the Diploma, learners develop an understanding of contemporary digital media and how it applies to communication and entertainment. This course will show you how to use the e-skills teaching and learning resources to deliver the unit in 60 teaching hours.

Outline

The course will cover:
•    how to create multimedia communications
•    setting and measuring activities for learners
•    incorporating testing and change management into the project
•    involving local employers to help compile project briefs for learners.

Outcomes

After completing the course, you’ll know how to:
•    work with learners to build a website, with images text and audio
•    use e-skills Staffroom resources to allocate activities to learners
•    accurately assess learners’ performance, based on the awarding body’s criteria
•    work with learners to create a project plan, carry out audience and client research and evaluate the results.
