Plymouth - STEM TeachMeet
The Plymouth STEM TeachMeet is heading to LabPlus at the University of Plymouth.
LabPlus is a multi-disciplinary learning space on the university campus, open to any group interested in the sciences and perfect for our discussions on all things STEM enrichment-related.
The main part of any TeachMeet is hearing stories from teachers and other education professionals about what works in practice.
We want to know about what you do that makes your students interested in and excited about STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.
At the STEM TeachMeet you can...
1. Give a micro presentation - 7 minutes to tell us about what you are doing to inspire students in STEM.
2. Give a nano presentation - 2 minutes to highlight one great STEM activity.
3. Be an audience participant – just come along, ask a few questions, drink the tea and soak up the inspiration.
This is a chance for education professionals to hear ideas from each other, a chance to hear about what can really make a difference.
It is about being engaged and inspired by colleagues and finding out things from people you never would have heard from otherwise.
This TeachMeet is being hosted by The STEM Clubs Network, an affiliation network which gives schools to access the very latest in best practice information, professional advice, shared resources, key contacts and personal support.
