CAS Swindon Hub Meeting

The first meeting of the Computing At School (CAS) Swindon Hub  has been organised to bring together people in South Gloucestershire and Wiltshire who are interested in supporting and promoting the teaching of computer science and other computing disciplines in UK schools: teachers, lecturers, parents, anyone!

Light refreshments will be available

4:30pm: Welcome and Introduction - Steven Chandanam, New College

4.35 - 4.45: What is CAS? - Claire Davenport. Who are we? How can we help you?

4.45pm: Apps for Good - presentation from Debbie Forster. Get your school on board with this innovative new charitable project, which encourages your students to use technology to tackle problems for social good.

Apps for Good develops talented and employable young people in an industry with plenty of room for creativity, prosperity and employment.

5.05 - 5.30 Geom Lab - Practical demonstration and workshop with teaching resources
5.30 - 6.00pm: "Bring and Brag" - Sharing best practice and successful lesson plans

6.00pm -  Future topics? Host venues? Wrap up and close
