As you know, Christchurch in New Zealand has been beset recently by a terrible earthquake, which was then followed by aftershocks – which are still occurring. People have lost their homes and, worst, their lives.

Haptics is to do with touch. Dr Margaret Cox has been involved in a cutting-edge project for training dentists using a Virtual Reality environment and feedback to touch.

You are the controller!  Using the XBox and the new Kinect controller you can play games using body movements.  Can this be used in schools?
